Irving is a city in Texas. Located in Dallas County, it is also the inner suburb of Dallas. The city of Irving is part of the Dallas-Fort Worth Metroplex. Irving was founded in 1903 and the city developed into an industrial center in the 1950s. The site of the University of Dallas and DeVry University in the suburbs of Dallas.
Irving is renowned for its racial and ethnic diversity and is ranked as one of the most diverse cities in the United States. Irving includes part of the Las Colinas Multipurpose Master Plan Community and Dallas-Fort Worth International Airport.
