Jambalaya Capital of the World
Known as the “Jambalaya Capital of the World”, it is famous for the annual Jambalaya Festival, which was first held in 1968. Steven “Steve” F. Juneau came up with the idea for the Jambalaya Festival and was the Jambalaya Festival Association’s first president. Our region has some of the most interesting and beautiful attractions in the South, many of which permeate our rich history.
Just a short drive away you will find dozens of Antebellum-style homes, many restaurants all featuring original cuisine, boutique shops and outlet malls.
